I sort of preferred them as Pendulum, but both are really awesome.

Man, this is perfect. Do you like this better than your previous one? I like both, but I think this one fits the music better and seems more high-res and electric.

Thanks for including all your resources too, it really helps fellow artists learn the process.

Couple questions... Did you do that lightning with photoshop brushes or something else? Looks nice.

Thank you very much. I did add the resource links for that very reason. :)

I used the Obsidian Dawn lightning brushes ([link] and [link])

I pieced it together using Photoshop brushes, I've forgotten to include the link previously; but you can see the timelapse of the work in progress here: [link]
The lighting part is at 1:53

Thanks for the feedback.

Damn man, just watched the time lapse and you used a lot more software than I thought. Was that After Effects bit a built in effect or some crazy 3rd party plugin?

I'm going to have to figure out how to get that shard/shatter effect in Maya.

Is there any particular reason you went from C4D to 3dsMax for the shattering effect on the plane object?

Seriously awesome man, mind is definitely blown by the work done in this one.

For After Effects at first I tried to use a plugin called Trapcode Particular, then I think I switched to Trapcode Form.
They're both powerful plugins on their own, I really suggest you try them out.

I didn't use C4D, I don't have it. I used 3ds Max for all the 3D stuff.
I used a 3ds Max plugin called RayFire to break the box/plane into pieces.

And thank you. :)

Ah gotcha, must have thought you used C4d because of the other KP wallpaper.

I have Trapcode patricular and Form, I figured that's what you were using but I always thought it said "trapcode form" as the effect instead of just "form".

Anyways, thanks again.

Fantastic image. What programs did you use besides photoshop?

Answered my own question by looking at your previous work. Photoshop and 3dsmax.

Adobe After Effects CS4 as well.

And thanks. :)

There's a time-lapse video if you want to see the process I went through. [link]

Wow. That was intense. I hope to be able to create compositions like this eventually. I've been slowly learning photoshop and recently blender. Looks like I need to add After Effects to that list.

Well I'm mostly self-taught with Photoshop, a few tutorials here and there.
When I made this I'd been using it for about two years.

I've never got the hang of Blender, but it's a powerful program.

Also, if you get After Effects, I suggest [link].
They have the best tutorials for AE.
